Suzanne's Training Center

Opening in Spring 2019 . . . enjoy a retreat style private studio in a serene (yet convenient) location in Alamo. Amenities include: a large exercise room with wide open views of the mountains and open space. Half of the exercise area is dedicated to Stott Pilates reformers for small group training or private sessions while the other side is open for strength and movement exercises, lite cardio, stretching or seating for educational seminars. Step outside the full glass view to an outdoor lawn for barefoot stretching, yoga, meditation or just chillin’ and sunning after your session. Enjoy a short wilderness hike on the paths of the property (a little huff and puff required). If you’re lucky you will witness wildlife enjoying themselves. A full kitchen awaits for specialty nutrition education, workshops and demonstrations with local nutritionists. Or maybe enjoy a post workout green juice.  Schedule a massage or relax after your session in our infrared dry sauna. Shower available.

Escape suburbia, elevate your fitness and health, then relax your mind at this rejuvenating get-away.

In her spare time . .

Suzanne enjoys the outdoors; hiking in the mountains, running on the beach. She loves upbeat music, warm weather, and adores animals (especially cats). She loves humor and laughter, inspired by her Grandmother. And she believes an ideal day begins with taking time for a healthy morning ritual.

Suzanne’s Training Center

Elite Training Systems is a 5,000 square foot facility equipped with men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, three treatment rooms for sports massage and physical therapy, a personal training room, a group exercise room, and a group cycling room with a movie screen. The core of the facility is the physiology lab for human performance. Elite Training Systems is a unique training center catering to sport enthusiasts, goal oriented athletes, health improvement clients, and those achieving weight loss.

Physiology Lab: Know Your Training Needs

The ability of an athlete to reach a peak performance during an athletic event requires precise training of specific energy systems for a particular race distance and type of course. This takes fine tuning so the athlete can generate the highest amount of energy per unit of time during a race. Proper training accomplishes this. Maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max) and threshold testing for the endurance athlete lets the coach and the athlete know if this balance is being obtained. Each energy system (dependant upon the event) must be trained properly in order to reach full personal potential.

V02max testing at Elite Training Systems is administered on our medical grade metabolic cart. The tests are performed on either a treadmill, a Concept2 rowing ergometer, your own bike mounted on our lab calibrated Computrainer or a stationary lab cycle ergometer, depending on your sport..

Clients interested in weight loss begin with a complete Body Composition Analysis performed in our lab using Biospace technology. Results are printed and graphed. Tests include %body fat, lean body mass, basal metabolic rate, body max index, hip-waist ratio, along with skinfold measurements and circumference measurements, height and weight. Based on your body type and test results, we determine your ideal weight and the pounds of muscle and/or body fat to gain or lose. Caloric intake and expenditure is then determined. From here your training plan is developed.
